Dr Ashleigh Howlett

Dr. Ashleigh Howlett has opened Ponsonby Teeth in the inner city community where she lives; she and her team are on a mission to make dental care relaxed and easy. 

Growing up, Ashleigh did not enjoy going to the dentist but when she started to study health science at university, this all changed. Fascinated by the impact that our teeth and smiles have on our daily lives, Ashleigh began to understand how vital good dentistry is, and how rewarding it is to help care for those precious teeth. What followed was a lifelong obsession with smiles (of all shapes and sizes) and a deep passion for dentistry.

After graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with Distinction), Ashleigh spent the next decade in dental practices in both Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. It’s during these years that she developed her philosophy of ‘patient-driven care’, an approach that lies at the heart of Ponsonby Teeth.

Ashleigh and her team are re-imagining the dental experience and proudly setting a new standard for care.
